After years serving as Jay Jay and Dom's sidekick on The Edge breakfast show, as Art and Jordan's romantic sherpa on The Bachelor NZ, and as a fast-talking TV hawker on shopping channel Yes Shop, it was nice to see him finally ascend to his celestial paradise: co-hosting TV3's new weekday morning lifestyle show, a sort of spiritual successor to TVNZ's dearly departed Good Morning.
The Edge Breakfast show presenter has been announced as the host of TV3's reality show The Bachelor. "It's the perfect combination of drama and fun and no doubt it's going to make for addictive viewing," says Puru.
"After 20 years on The Edge, I've seen a lot of weddings and I know how intense the search for love can be.
In 2016 Puru continued as host for the second season of The Bachelor, but was not selected as the host for the third season.
He is the current host of Three's morning show The Cafe.
A group of competing women must vie for the affections of a single eligible male via a series of dates.
One competitor for the NZ show, Aucklander Lisa O'Loughlin has already been selected in a radio contest.
